The Restless is playing a free show at Imurj, 300 South McDowell Street, as part of the First Friday Raleigh reception. The reception is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and The Restless plays at 9:30 p.m.
On your first Imurj visit you need to pay $1 for a one-year entry membership, as required by A.L.E. law.
About the reception and the band:
Featuring the works and studios of Imurj Members: Holly Nicolazzo, Patricia Wilson, Stephen Cefalo, Jess Porta, and Olivia Taylor Hockaday.
The Imurj Main Gallery is transformed into 5 spaces for visual artists who are Imurj Members to INHABIT. We are featuring the artist as the installation as these artists work in public view throughout the exhibition run. Exhibitors may work in their designated spaces during Imurj hours of operation throughout the month. The exhibit allows the public a visualization of each artist’s unique studio habits and practices, demonstration of their skills, and an opportunity to come into the intimate work environment as the artists create their product. Throughout the month we explore the word “inhabit” through artists taking over both the intimate and large spaces at Imurj to fill it with their essences, their artists’ activities, and their personas.

Join the community for an opening art reception of the exhibits in the Imurj Main Gallery and the Imurj Cafe Gallery. The Imurj Local Shop also features smaller 2D and 3D works of art for sale. First Fridays at Imurj offer a variety of diverse experiences and activities, followed by live music after the reception. The event is free of charge.
The Imurj Cafe is open with craft beer, wine, coffee, and snacks and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase.
Tonight’s First Friday special guest is Restless Raleigh, one of Raleigh’s most dynamic seven-piece bands, sure to make you want to dance!
Restless Raleigh is a 7-piece performing ensemble featuring the best in new music. Their unique sound derives from combining female Pop lead vocals and male R&B lead vocals to make rich and powerful presentations of a wide variety of material.
Restless Raleigh can be found regularly performing clubs, weddings, corporate parties, and public concerts throughout the triangle and surrounding area keeping their high energy sets flowing continuously throughout every event using artist and cross-genre medleys with multiple vocalists.
