Dads, here’s a special hike just for you and your kids. It takes place Sunday, June 19th, 2016, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Horton Grove Nature Preserve, 7360 Jock Road, Bahama.
Triangle Land Conservancy and Hike It Baby! are teaming up for a Father’s Day hike. Hike It Baby! is a national parents group dedicated to getting families together and out into nature with newborns, toddlers, and young children. We’ll explore TLC’s That Makes Sense Children’s trail at Horton Grove. Our Horton Grove Nature Preserve hike features a native grassland, wooded area, and small creek. The hike is just under a mile and we’ll go at a flexible pace for children being carried or walking on their own. This hike is recommended for families with children ages 0-5.
We will meet in the larger parking area by Holman and Peaks Loop Trails. Coming from Old Oxford Road, you will enter by the historic barns and drive several minutes down the gravel road to the main parking lot.
