En Plein Air Paint-Off is a free public art event in downtown Fuquay-Varina.
Artists will be painting outside in both downtown districts on May 15th and 16th, 2020, from around 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. There’s some flexibility about the time that artists are painting, so you may not see all the artists at the same time at all the locations.
This event started in with 7 artists in 2012, and has included as many as 14.
Head downtown and watch artists compete in a contest of skills as they create original oil and acrylic masterpieces of Fuquay-Varina’s historic landscape.
This is a free outdoor event.
Then, on Sunday, May 17th, 2020, you can see the completed works displayed the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center, 123 E Vance Street, Fuquay-Varina, starting at 4 p.m. There will be a live auction at 5 p.m., so you can bring home a one-of-a-kind work of art that is local in every way.
