Orange County Public Library is holding a special event, El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day), dedicated to stories and crafts from across the globe. This free event will take place Saturday, April 30th, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Main Library, 137 West Margaret Lane, Hillsborough.
Kids of all ages are welcome to this event, which features:
- Stories read by special guest speakers, including Tom Stevens, mayor of Hillsborough, Bonnie Hammersley, county manager and Sara Stephens, CEO of the Hillsborough Chamber
- A performance by Takiri Dance Academy
- Crafts from around the world, including Australian dot art, Japanese flying carp, African paper weaving and Mexican papel picado banners
- Chips and salsa from Moe’s Southwest Grill
