The MakerLab is a place created by Durham County Library where community members can try out technologies like 3D printing, Cubelets, BeeBots, watercolor bot and much more, for free.
The MakerLab is located at Northgate Mall, 1058 W Club Blvd, Durham, inside entrance 2.
It’s open whenever a program is scheduled. There’s no charge to use the equipment, and there will be staff on hand to help out. If you have a project you’d like to print on the 3D printer, you can bring in an .stl or .obj file. You won’t be able to print at the event. It’ll take a couple weeks to get the object printed. The only cost is the cost of the filament, by weight. It’s $.25/gram. Learn more about 3-D printing at the MakerLab.
