Binkley Baptist Church, 1712 Willow Drive in Chapel Hill, invites the community to this free organ performance by Alvin Blount on Monday, April 4th, 2016, at 7 p.m.:
Binkley Baptist Church Music Ministry is presenting Alvin Blount in recital on April 4 at 7:00pm at the church. Mr. Blount is one of the most accomplished classical organists in the country, as well as Director of Music and Worship at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church in Augusta, GA. Alvin is a graduate of Mercer and the Tuskegee Institute, and is the Past-Dean of the Augusta Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, a member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians, and the Alumni Board of Directors, Townsend School of Music of Mercer University. His program will include classical pieces in the first half and an arrangement of spirituals for the organ in the second half. He will come to Chapel Hill from Augusta, GA. The community is invited for this free performance.
