City of Raleigh Museum, at 220 Fayetteville Street, Raleigh, North Carolina, is hosting two events for Black History Month in 2025.
These programs are supported in part by North Carolina Humanities, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Black Artists Day
Saturday, February 15, 2025
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Free
Come experience the incredible talent of local Black artists and discover how their work is deeply shaped by Black history and culture.
This is a unique opportunity to engage with powerful art that tells stories of resilience, identity, and heritage. Don’t miss out on this inspiring event—admission is completely free! Bring your friends and family to celebrate creativity and history in a meaningful way.
From 10 a.m to 12 p.m watch local artist Tyler Jones create live work You will have the chance to engage in conversations with creatives in the community, and enjoy some fun crafts.
From 12:30 to 2 p.m., there will be a formal panel featuring JP Jermaine Powell, Pinkie Strother, Samantha Everette, Lord Phly, and Drew Jones. The panel will be facilitated by Dr. Paul Baker, the director of CAM Raleigh.
