Celebrate the beginning of blueberry season with a Blueberry Festival at the Apex Farmers Market, 220 North Salem Street, on Saturday, June 10th, 2017, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Help us kick off the beginning of blueberry season in NC, wear blue or purple and join us for the Kiwanis Blueberry Pancake Breakfast and Blueberry Festival at the marketl! A delicious and fun way to start the day! Kiwanis will be serving their blueberry pancakes from 8:30 until 11:30 (or while supplies last), for those who prefer their pancakes for brunch or lunch! (and yes, they can make your pancakes with or without blueberries.)
- 8:30 – 12:30 – NC Blueberries for Sale for fundraiser for the market (while supplies last)
- 8:30- 11:30 – Blueberry Pancake Breakfast ($6 per plate, Kids under 3 are free)
- 10 am – Bluebery Pie Eating Contest (open to contestants 5 years old and up…limit 12 contestants) Winner receives Market Bucks.
- 11 am – Blueberry Water Balloon Toss (open to contestants 16 years and younger) Winners receive Market Bucks.
Plus, there will be a Blueberry photo op booth, all of our regular farmers and vendors, live music from Ladies of the Lake, kids activities hosted by Kool Kidz, NC Master Gardners hosted by Betsy Ziegler and All American Gutter Protection sponsoring our Ambassador Tent, with free Blueberry Lemonade and complimentary coffee!
