Barley Labs is a dog-focused taproom, bottle and gift shop at 4015 University Drive, Durham. It has 16 beers on draft, bottled beer and growler fills to go, and a small selection of wine and cider.
For the dogs, Barley Labs features all natural beer-grain dog treats made with recycled spent grain from Fullsteam Brewery. There are dog toys and beds for your dog to enjoy, as well as gifts for dogs, people who love dogs, plus people who love beer.
Barley Labs hosts many events, and you can find them all, including live music, music bingo, game nights, trivia and more on their Facebook page.
Here are a few of the free events coming up:
Free Beer Tasting
January 18: Dark beers
January 25: Sour/funky beers
Barley Labs Run Club
Every Friday, scheduled through March 22
All paces welcome. Distances ranging from 1.5 to 5.7 miles.
Saturday, January 19th
7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Both of these workshops will cover the same skills.
Does your pup bark a lil too much in public places? Are you having a great time at the dog bar until your pup lunges/barks at new people/dogs when they arrive?
Canine Chemistry will offer a dog training workshop where they’ll give you strategies to help you and your dog enjoy your time in public places like Barley Labs.
The first 10 dogs and their humans to arrive will serve as the hands-on demonstrators for the session. Anyone who arrives later can still watch/ask questions.
