National Trails Day is Saturday, June 4th. Learn about some of the National Trails Day activities in the Triangle. One more has an arts focus. Artify: The Arts in the Parks is a series of events that commemorate the 100th anniversary of North Carolina’s parks, and offers artful programs, both those set in parks and those featuring park-related themes, all presented by Raleigh and Wake Country area arts institutions.
On Saturday, June 4th, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., for National Trails Day, there will be a very special event at Booth Amphitheatre in Cary.
Join us as we “artify” the National Trails Day® celebration and walk the beautiful Symphony Lake Greenway. Members of the Greenway Committee and the Cultural Arts Committee will guide you and share observations of both nature and culture. Enjoy a series of visual arts experiences, designed by artist Nate Key, as well as other visual and performing artists, at stations along the trail. Other highlights include listening to the sounds of the NC Symphony as they rehearse for the Summerfest concert later that evening. Tours start on the Crescent Deck at 10:15am, 11:30am, and 12:45pm. For more info call (919) 469-4061.
