Learn about American Indian history through pottery, and make your own pottery piece at American Indian History Through Pottery on Sunday October 13th, 2019, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Borden Building and Grounds.
The Borden Building is at 820 Clay Street, Raleigh, You can park off of Washington Street at Fletcher Park.
Senora Lynch, a member of the Haliwa-Saponi tribe, will lead participants through the steps of making pottery, explaining how she records oral history into visual arts by sharing the legends, stories, and customs of her people.
Participants will leave with their pottery piece and a greater understanding of American Indian traditions in North Carolina.
