Pianist Lara Downes, along with Alexander Bernstein, son of famed composer Leonard Bernstein, are performing in a free concert on Monday, September 18th, 2017, at 7 p.m., at the State Capitol Building, 1 Edenton Street, Raleigh.
The concert will be a tribute to Leonard Bernstein. The program will focus on American music and the importance of understanding our history to be better informed about the present. The presentation is free and open to the public and will broadcast on UNC-TV. The concert is dedicated to NC Arts Council’s 50th Anniversary.
