Please join us in celebrating Urban Agriculture in Raleigh on Saturday, October 8, 2016. We will meet at the Visitor Center at Mordecai Historic Park to hear from the 2016 Urban Agriculture winners and hear from Steve Cohen from the City of Portland. We will also offer a tour of the Mordecai kitchen garden.
The event is supported by the City’s Environmental Advisory Board and the City of Oaks Foundation. The presence of agriculture in the urban environment positively affects the natural environment, the local economy, social relations and household economic behavior, all of which contribute to the livability of the city.
