Tai Chi
Saturdays, 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

Tai Chi emphasizes the use of Chi (bio electricity) to boost conciseness and add extra power to martial applications. The Tai Chi form is isokinetic exercise, stability training, stretching, and Yoga breathing. The primary concept in Tai Chi is balance. It is not hard to do the Tai Chi form but it takes time and effort to perform it well. Ashton, who learned Tai Chi from Sifu Bill Chin in San Francisco at Golden Gate Park, will lead the class. Join Blue Point Yoga Center‘s experienced teachers for a fun morning of yoga and community in Durham Central Park. Each Saturday May 7- August 27, we are sponsoring a free yoga class for students of all levels. Please bring a yoga mat or towel to practice on. Yoga combines physical poses that build strength, flexibility and balance, with mindfulness practices that reduce the effects of stress and encourage overall well-being. We hope you can join us at the NEW spot near The Leaf (opposite side of Foster Street than Durham Farmers’ Market)! Inclement weather – class canceled.
